Overview

The main purpose of the Technician – Lighting/Screens/Video is to deliver production services on tours and events. 

You will have high level skills and competencies that allow them to take on assigned roles on a crew and carry out required tasks with minimal direct supervision.

You will play a vital role in delivery of quality services to PRG customers in what can be at times time critical and challenging environment.

 

The position is suitable for candidates with existing relevant production / touring experience. The position can work in single area or specialisation or across lighting, LED screens and more.  The position can work in the warehouse or in a range of venues across Australia when delivering production services. Career path progression may include technical specialisation or progression to Crew Chief.

Qualifications

  • Test & Tag / Electrical Safety Competency – highly desirable
  • Working at Heights competency - highly desirable
  • Manual Handling competency - highly desirable
  • Hi Risk Work Licence – (Forklift, boom & EWP > 11 meters, rigging) – highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Pick equipment from warehouse shelves and proceed to assemble and build a system.
  • Assemble, loom and label system components and ensure all parts are suitable and correct.
  • Maintain communications with Managers in regard to variations or clarifications.
  • Carry out / assist / supervise loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Participate in toolbox talks.
  • Always maintain focus on potential risks to own safety and safety of others and act to ensure safety first.
  • Set up own area of responsibility in each venue.
  • Maintain & fault find systems as required.
  • Ensure that the Company's policies, procedures, and obligations are adhered to in carrying out all duties.
