Overview

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to oversee the technical progress and management of various events at PRG Japan, the world's leading comprehensive event service company headquartered in the United States. This position entails comprehensive involvement in event planning, implementation, and technical aspects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing work processes, manufacturing processes, costs, and drawing production. Additionally, you will coordinate outsourced work and frequently collaborate with clients, who often perceive this role as a technical director, and may require equipment proposals. Please note that this position may require work outside of regular hours for on-site work, teleconferences with overseas parties, meetings with domestic clients and outsourcing partners, or business trips.

Qualifications

  • Extremely high proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese is mandatory!
  • Experience in entertainment production progress management, construction, and process management.
  • General knowledge of entertainment technology or specific fields such as Audio, Video, Lighting, or Scenery, with a desire to take on production progress challenges.
  • Strong business document writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic email comprehension.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to converse and create documents effectively.

In addition to the core requirements, the following qualities are advantageous:

  • Interest in a wide range of entertainment industries.
  • Experience using CAD, Vectorworks, and Illustrator is a plus.
  • Established network of contacts in production, advertising agencies, and the entertainment industry is beneficial.
  • Ability to anticipate hurdles and risk factors in the event process while maintaining a holistic perspective.
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking ability and effective idea communication.
  • Clear and concise information delivery.
  • Strong prioritization skills and self-motivation.
  • Team player mentality with the ability to engage and collaborate with others.

 

Employment Type: This position is available for both permanent employees and contract employees (1 year).

 

Probation Period: A 6-month probation period will be in effect.

 

Work Location: The primary work location is Tokyo, with the possibility of remote work upon request.

 

Work Hours: Standard work hours are from 9:00 to 17:30.

 

Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays are non-working days. However, there may be instances where work is required on holidays based on assigned tasks, in which case substitute leave will be provided. Additional holidays include year-end and New Year holidays, congratulatory or condolence leave, and annual paid leave.
