PRG is active in 72 locations worldwide.  For our location in Tildonk, Belgium, we are looking for a Director of Operations.

 

As Director of Operations, you play a crucial role within the regional Management team and are integral to the succession plan of our founding generation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Belgium, Netherlands, and France, you take leadership of operational departments, translating our strategic vision into actionable goals for excellent execution and profitability.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in leading operational positions within the Event Industry, demonstrating a track record of successful leadership and team management in customer-focused environments.
  • Proven ability to drive operational processes, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans for efficient execution and profitability.
  • Strong networker with a talent for building and maintaining robust relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent organizational skills, adept at prioritizing tasks and managing a demanding workload to ensure optimal performance of operational departments.
  • Effective communicator with exceptional listening, negotiating, and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with proficiency in French, enabling seamless communication across international teams and clients.
  • Financially astute with a keen business acumen, able to navigate month-closing P&L statements with ease.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed to support regional operations and foster global partnerships.

Responsibilities

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership to four operational departments: Production, Crew Planning, Asset Management, and Warehousing. Each department manager reports directly to you, overseeing around 90 indirect staff members.
  • Translate the company's strategic vision into actionable goals for the departments, ensuring clarity, motivation, and development to maintain consistent high service levels.
  • Enhance client delivery efficiency by implementing clear structures, processes, and budgets, resulting in well-planned cost control and profitability.
  • Report results to the management team visually and financially, fostering transparency and understanding of operational performance.
  • Identify and prioritize areas for internal organizational improvement, leading cross-departmental projects and facilitating team collaboration.
  • Collaborate closely with Human Resources to prioritize employee career development and recruitment efforts.
  • Ensure stability, improvement, and implementation of necessary changes in planning and ERP systems.
  • Partner with other PRG regional Directors of Operations, primarily in EMEA but globally as required, to align departmental approaches and improvement projects.
  • Optimize the ROI of rental stock by making investment decisions and coordinating used equipment sales with the Head of Asset Management and local General Managers, balancing local needs with EMEA-wide alignment.
  • Establish and enforce standardized operational processes and procedures across the company, ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe work environment.
