Overview

Lighting & Screen Technicians – Warehouse (Casual) 

Position Overview 

PRG (Production Resource Group) Australia is looking for casual Technicians to join our Lighting and Screen teams during the peak production periods. The work is ad hoc and is based at the PRG Warehouse in Dandenong South, Melbourne, Victoria. 

PRG Warehouse hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, but this is subject to change. Employees may be required to work reasonable overtime when it is required.

Skills & Outlook

Qualifications & Licences  

Victorian Drivers Licence:  Employees are required to have a car driver's licence. 

 

Highly Valued Qualifications & Competencies  

  • Experience in areas of entertainment lighting or video 
  • Basic knowledge of electrical principles and safety 
  • Electrical Test & Tag competency 
  • Manual Handling competency 
  • Forklift high-risk work licence 
  • Use of stock management software  
  • Light, medium, or heavy rigid drivers licence  

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities  

  • Work as part of a team in the preparation, cleaning, verification, testing and returning of department specific, and associated equipment to Company standard and procedure. 
  • Accurate checking of stock. 
  • Identify and report damaged equipment and report to Supervisor. 
  • Sort and place materials or items on to racks, shelves and locations. 
  • Check sub-hired equipment upon receipt of and prior to return, ensuring items are complete and in the same condition as received from supplier. 
  • Carry out regulatory compliance testing as appropriate. 
  • Fulfil routine maintenance and repair of equipment. 
  • Complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule. 
  • Inform the Supervisor of any shortages of equipment / consumables for forthcoming jobs. 
  • Unload and load vehicles as required. 
  • Apply safe manual handling, electrical safety and working at heights practices. 
  • Demonstrate strong focus on own safety and safety of others in the workplace.
