Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team to achieve results.
  • An excellent understanding and passion for the industry.
  • Good understandings of electrical theory / power distribution.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Able to manage resources during very busy periods, implementing contingencies to meet the changing business needs.
  • Capable of working to strict deadlines.
  • Able to communicate confidently and clearly; written and spoken.
  • A good understanding of stock control systems.
  • Extensive computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications, experience using Vectorworks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the range of professional Video equipment solutions and procedures for the live entertainment and events industry.
  • A good understanding of electrical safety at work and safe working practices.
  • An understanding of basic rigging principles and weight load calculations is required.
  • Able to give clear guidance on what needs to be achieved.
  • Takes a proactive stance, initiating action before being asked.
  • Positive attitude to extra duties and new challenges.
  • Ability to understand and comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Rules
  • Prepared to work additional hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

Working with Video Account Executives, Operations Manager, Project Managers and other Sales teams to support and implement Video solutions across all PRG projects to meet clients’ requirements.

 

Supporting both Project Managers and the planning team to advise on the appointment of staff and freelancers whilst ensuring a consistently high standard of delivery across the diverse range of projects we deliver.

 

All aspects of work to be carried out to the highest possible standard of safety while meeting PRG standards and client expectations.

 

Summary Of Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be responsive and accommodating to internal and external issues or enquiries.
  • Ensure that accurate briefs are delivered to the team through regular dialogue with Planning, Project Management and Sales.
  • Support planning to ensure we accurately interpret and design ideal solutions to ensure that the company can support the event – adapting specifications as required and as appropriate.
  • Assess booking requirements on the Company equipment rental software, ensuring we maximise utilisation and broader management of stock against any incoming briefs.
  • Supervise the team in the prepping and testing of equipment in line with the Company’s standards and procedures.
  • Log all damage to property and take appropriate action to mitigate loss.
  • Manage and oversee the testing of all Video equipment in line with regulations, ensuring the company has appropriate certification or licensing and the correct attire or tools to complete the project in a competent, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that damaged or faulty equipment is logged on the rental software system and is communicated to the Operations & Service Departments.
  • Plan the maintenance, repair, and upgrades of all Video equipment, ensuring all stock is regularly serviced / repaired and available for rental.
  • Conduct regular work site visits to ensure delivery standards are being upheld.
  • Lead operations to develop processes to make the delivery run smoothly and increase efficiency and profitability of the business unit.
  • Ensure PRG staff are compliant with the company’s grooming policies and are wearing the correct PPE both in the warehouse and onsite.
  • With the support of planning and management, assess workloads and staffing levels within the department to ensure deadlines are met and the department is always manned appropriately.
  • Working to ensure that all members of the Video department can competently install, set-up, and de-rig Video equipment in a safe and proper manner.
  • Operate within the current Health and Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Supporting Asset Management to identify new equipment required for the department, assessing its suitability to fit in with the departments current stock and demands of the market.
  • Control costs in relation to staff resources, consumables, equipment and repair and maintenance.
  • Work closely with other departments to discuss and resolve collective issues.
  • Maintain effective communication with planning and the team members to ensure any issues or concerns are dealt with quickly.
  • Provide, procure or develop any training programs to ensure we operate at the highest standards.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to develop and optimise individual and team capability.
  • Act as a role model for team members.
  • Attend project management and production meetings when required to understand the future needs of the business.
  • Assist and be involved in regular performance reviews and provide feedback, identifying and implementing development plans for staff members.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technology and techniques within the industry.
  • Fulfil any other reasonable task required by the company.
  • Always ensure confidentiality of information relating to the company or its clients, projects, or personal staff information.
  • Operating within current health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment.
