Overview

The primary role involves prepping and maintaining a wide range of equipment within the group inventory across the department as directed by the Department In charge or Operations Director ensuring all events have the correct equipment delivered to site within the scheduled time slots.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of the industry and previous experience within a warehouse environment.
  • Good understanding of the Company’s product range and procedures.
  • Preparation of packing lists and other supporting documents for project logistics
  • Assisting Operations Manager in keeping a record of equipment usage and maintenance logs
  • Ability to learn and retain information in a reasonable time frame.
  • Conscientious with a good eye for detail.
  • Capable of working to deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to co-operate with others.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • An understanding of stock control systems and basic IT skills.
  • Methodical and keen to learn within the department and willing to keep others informed and updated.
  • A good understanding of:

  • Ability to cope well under pressure and changes to work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Prep and maintain a wide range of equipment in line with the Company’s standards and procedures.
  • Work as part of the team in the preparation, testing and returning of all audio Communications equipment such as two-way Radios, Show Comms systems, Network Systems.
  • Fulfill duties as directed by the Department In charge / Operations Director, maintaining a satisfactory pace with attention to detail.
  • Ensure correct equipment entry onto the equipment rental software, WINHITS, including bar codes.
  • Fulfill the stock control system, liaising with the Service Department and updating service history where appropriate.
  • Ensure that Faulty / Damaged equipment is delivered to the Service Department for prompt repair.
  • Inform the relevant Department In charge of any shortages or issues with equipment / consumables for forthcoming orders.
  • Ensure that all equipment and flight case tour labels are marked up correctly for specific jobs.

  • Prepare and carry out portable appliance testing (PAT Testing) where necessary, ensuring all information is logged.
  • Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of fixtures within the department.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles in a safe manner as directed by the Operations Director.
  • Carry out driving duties as allocated by the Operations Director.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and orderly at all times.
  • Assist in the asset entry and barcode of all new equipment received on the equipment rental software system. 
  • Assist in the undertaking of stock cycle counts with operational departments when scheduled.
  • Keep up to date with the latest fixtures and technology, undertaking training when necessary to unsure the correct handling of equipment.
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Ensure the Company’s quality standards and procedures are met and maintained at all times.
  • Fulfil any other reasonable task required by the company
  • Report any health and safety issues to the Operations Manager.
  • Undertake training as required to assist with personal development within role.
  • Ensure that the Company’s policies, rules, procedures and obligations are observed in carrying out the above duties.
